Pre-Sales Consultant – ERPNext, Odoo & Zoho


Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Consultant will support ERP sales initiatives by providing functional and technical expertise for Odoo, ERPNext, and Zoho solutions. The role involves understanding client business processes, delivering product demonstrations, designing tailored ERP solutions, and supporting proposal development to help close deals successfully.

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
  • Support sales teams in selling ERPNext, Odoo, and Zoho (Zoho One / Zoho Finance / Zoho CRM) solutions
  • Conduct requirement discovery sessions and business process analysis with prospects
  • Identify customer pain points and map them to ERPNext, Odoo, or Zoho capabilities
  • Act as a solution advisor during customer meetings and presentations
Solution Design & Demonstrations
  • Design end-to-end ERP solutions using ERPNext, Odoo, and Zoho modules
  • Configure and deliver product demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and walkthroughs
  • Recommend best-fit ERP platform based on customer size, industry, and complexity
  • Define required customizations, integrations, and workflows
Proposal & Sales Support
  • Prepare solution proposals, scope documents, and presentations
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with functional and technical inputs
  • Provide effort estimates, timelines, and licensing/subscription details
  • Assist in pricing discussions and value justification
Collaboration & Handover
  • Work closely with implementation and technical teams for accurate scoping
  • Provide clear handover documentation after deal closure
  • Stay updated on new releases, features, and roadmap updates for ERPNext, Odoo, and Zoho
Skills and QualificationEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Experience
  • 2–7 years of experience in ERP pre-sales, consulting, or implementation
  • Hands-on experience with ERPNext, Odoo, and/or Zoho platforms
  • Experience supporting SMB and mid-market customers
Functional & Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of ERP modules:
  • Accounting & Finance
  • Sales & CRM
  • Purchase & Inventory
  • Manufacturing (preferred)
  • HR & Payroll
  • Knowledge of workflows, reporting, and dashboards
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and third-party applications
  • Basic understanding of cloud and SaaS ERP deployments
Soft Skills
  • Strong presentation and demo skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously


Preferred Skills
  • Certifications in ERPNext, Odoo, or Zoho
  • Experience with open-source ERP or Similar ERP Products
  • Industry exposure (Manufacturing, Trading, Services, Retail, etc.)
  • Experience in SaaS & On -premise based ERP selling
  • Opportunity-to-win conversion rate
  • Accuracy of solution design and estimates
  • Customer feedback during pre-sales engagements
  • Smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation
