About the role

We are looking for an Odoo Development Team Lead who will take ownership of a team of engineers and drive both technical excellence and delivery stability. This role combines technical leadership and team management. You will not be removed from the code — you will stay close to the system, architecture, and key technical decisions while also shaping how the team works and delivers. You will work directly with the CEO and play a key role in improving engineering processes, strengthening the team, and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Review code, define best practices, and ensure maintainable architecture

• Make key technical decisions and support complex problem-solving

Team Leadership

• Lead a team of developers (task distribution, prioritization, guidance)

• Conduct 1:1s, support growth, and maintain team performance

• Participate in hiring, onboarding and development of employees.

Delivery Ownership

• Ensure predictable and consistent delivery across projects

• Improve estimation accuracy and sprint planning

• Identify risks early and proactively resolve blockers

• Participate in pre-sale discussions when technical input is needed

Process Improvement

• Build and improve development processes (planning, code review, workflows)

• Bring clarity and structure to how the team operates

• Increase transparency and accountability across engineering

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Odoo (Python, PostgreSQL, Odoo framework)

• Experience leading a team or taking ownership of technical direction

• Ability to combine development work with team leadership

• Experience working with complex business logic and ERP systems

• Strong understanding of software architecture and code quality practices

• Ability to operate in dynamic environments and improve imperfect systems

• English on working level for communication with clients and internal teams

Nice to have:

Experience with large-scale Odoo implementations

Background in consulting or client-facing delivery

Experience scaling or stabilizing engineering teams
