Odoo Functional Consultant

Cloudsaber is looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join our growing team and help deliver successful Odoo implementations for a wide range of customers.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands business processes, enjoys working with customers, and can configure Odoo effectively from discovery through to go-live.

You will be involved in pre-implementation sessions, requirements gathering, solution design, Odoo configuration, customer training, testing, documentation, Odoo.sh setup, and post-go-live support.

This is primarily a Functional Consultant role, but technical awareness or development experience would be a strong advantage. We are especially interested in someone who understands where standard Odoo configuration is enough, and where proper Odoo module development, integrations, automation, or reporting work may be required.

About the role

As an Odoo Functional Consultant, you will work closely with the Managing Director, sales team, delivery team, and customers to design and deliver practical Odoo solutions.

You will help customers understand what Odoo can do, translate their requirements into clear workflows, configure the system, deliver training, and support successful implementation.

You will also provide functional input during pre-sales and scoping conversations, helping us shape the right solution for each customer.

What you’ll be doing

You will run discovery and pre-implementation sessions with customers, gathering and documenting requirements, understanding their business processes, and mapping those processes into Odoo.

You will configure Odoo modules across areas such as CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Project, Timesheets, Manufacturing, Website, eCommerce, and related applications.

You will prepare and deliver customer demos, walkthroughs, user training, testing support, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.

You will help identify where a requirement can be handled through standard configuration and where custom module development, integrations, automation, reporting, or technical input may be needed.

Where development work is required, you will work with developers to explain the requirement clearly, support testing, validate the final solution, and make sure it meets the customer’s needs.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant, ideally gained through multiple Odoo implementation projects.

You should be confident speaking with customers, running demos, delivering training, documenting requirements, and translating business processes into practical Odoo solutions.

You should have good knowledge across core Odoo modules, including Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Project, Timesheets, Manufacturing, and related apps.

You should be organised, commercially aware, solutions-focused, and comfortable working remotely while taking ownership of implementation tasks.

You should also be comfortable working alongside developers and understanding technical concepts around Odoo module development, integrations, reporting, deployment, and testing.

Nice to have

Odoo 19 Functional Certification would be ideal, although Odoo 18 certification with strong practical experience will also be considered.

Experience with Odoo.sh would be very useful.

Development experience would be a strong advantage, particularly knowledge of Python, XML, custom Odoo modules, models, views, security rules, workflows, reports, integrations, Git, and deployment processes.

Experience using AI tools to support implementation, documentation, testing, configuration, troubleshooting, or development would also be valuable.

Exposure to SPIN, consultative discovery, pre-sales, manufacturing, distribution, stock management, professional services, or project-based businesses would be beneficial.
